So, if you have always wanted to create a cozy place to share evenings with family and friends, but you have a small budget then read on, because this time we want to give you economic decoration options, translated into small big changes that without having to invest a lot of money will help you create your dream space in your backyard.
And yes, this time we want to focus purely on the outdoor space, since it is the area of the house that we take most advantage of this season due to the high temperatures. However, if you also want to highlight the inside of your home and you have a low budget for it, you can apply these tips in both environments.
Decorating Idea # 1: A shot of colors and cheerfulness
Let’s start by taking into account that this season of the year bets on the joy and energy that colors and the freshness they bring to any space.
Some people take advantage of this time of the year to paint their houses and totally renovate, but if you think that painting even one wall of the house will be too much chaos, try the following four tips that will undoubtedly make the perfect match with your white or gray walls. Although, painting just one wall can be a complete game changer, so think about it.
Decorating Idea #2: Pillows
This is one of our favorite decorating options and one of the most economical recommendations that we can apply at any time of the year and for any decor: pillows. With them you can renew your armchairs without having to buy others, moreover, there is no specific amount of pillows you have to use, let your imagination fly, use them and combine them according to your preference, use solid colors or floral prints, but if you are a fan of neutral colors try combining them with a palette of pastel colors.
What’s more, you can even buy just the pillowcases and save even more. They’re easy to store for use the following spring.
Decorating Idea #3: Decorative Accessories
You can also substitute decorative accessories such as vases, pictures, ornaments, and window dressers. There is a world of options you can use, no matter the shape or size, you can combine them with each other, but if it is important and preferably use white or transparent colors or other tones, that will depend on your color palette.
Another super important thing with decorative elements is not to use too many, remember that less is more. Go for order and visually clean spaces, do not choose so many elements but the most appropriate for the season and keep the rest.
We assure you that by making these small changes in the decorative accessories you will feel even better and above all motivated and full of energy.
Decorating idea #4: Flowers and lots of greenery
Close your eyes and imagine it, did you see how beautiful your deck would look!…. Now let’s make it happen. And no, you don’t have to hire an expert gardener, just buy pots of various styles and sizes, colorful flowering plants and preferably ones that don’t require a lot of watering time because we understand that between work and home stuff, there is almost no free time left to dedicate to the garden, but make sure to water them from time to time.
Even if you prefer to use fake flowers and vegetation is a good option especially if you intend to save them and use them next season and best of all is that they will not wither.
Apply it also inside the house, use vases with flowers and lots of greenery, large, small and even hanging, use them in all spaces, from the living room to the bathroom and bedrooms. Remember that plants provide great benefits, absorb bad odors and purify the air we breathe.
Decorating Idea #5: Lighting
After the dark days that winter leaves us with, all we need is light, lots of light. So open the windows and let the sunshine in.
String lights have become very fashionable in recent years, they are ideal for both inside and outside the house. And who says we should only use them at Christmas? So choose a space in the house and use them to decorate.
Outside they look beautiful. They give an intimate and warm look to your decks to take advantage of time and space on those weekends when the evenings extend into the night and it’s too hot indoors.
Decks, luxury on trend
Decks are full on trend this season and also bring elegance, freshness and spaciousness to any home design. Whether you already have one and just need to give it life, or if you are thinking of building one from scratch, remember that you can adjust it to your budget.
If you are not very familiar with them, we tell you: they are structures originally made of wood or other resistant material, they can be built directly on the ground or elevated as terraces and on which you can place elements such as chairs, armchairs, tables, plants and an exquisite decoration. It is definitely one of the most elegant ways to take advantage of outdoor spaces.
